It features male mDP and female HDMI connectors, so you can continue using your existing HDMI display and cable to transmit audio/video without the expense of a new mDP display (check your source device's manual for audio compatibility).

Ideal for video presentations and home/office applications, this Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter supports Ultra High Definition (UHD) video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz. The active adapter converts both single-mode and dual-mode (DP++) DisplayPort output. It's recommended for use with graphics cards, such as AMD Eyefinity, that do not output DP++ signals. The HDMI port is backward compatible with non-4K displays.
