What This Product Does
Omada Campus S6500-24GP4XF is a high-performance L3 managed PoE+ switch tailored for the access layer, featuring L3 routing, fast 10 Gbps wired speeds, stacking options, and redundant power supply modules. It boasts a 720 W PoE budget, 24 Gigabit RJ45 PoE+ ports, 4 10 Gbps SFP+ slots, physical stacking ability, and centralized management. Integrated with strong security, easy O&A, and extensive management features, S6500-24GP4XF offers a dependable networking solution for SMBs, enterprises, and ISPs.
IEEE 802.3at/af-compliant Power over Ethernet
24 IEEE 802.3at/af-compliant PoE ports supply up to 720 W total power to 802.3at and 802.3af devices, with each port supplying up to 30 W power. Set up wireless access points, surveillance cameras, IP phones, and other PoE devices quickly and easily, without the hassle and cost of installing power cabling. Perpetual PoE maintains uninterrupted power supply for PDs during switch reboots and firmware upgrades, while Fast PoE instantly restores power supply for PDs after a shutdown and restart.
High-speed Connectivity and Powerful Stacking
24 Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 10 Gbps SFP+ slots provide up to 128 Gbps switching capacity per unit. Physical stacking of up to 12 units enhances network performance and redundancy.
Abundant Layer 3 Capabilities
Comes with abundant Layer 3 routing protocols that support a scalable network, such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VRF, VRRP, PIM-SM/PIM-DM/PIM-SSM, ECMP, and PBR. In complex large-scale network environments, dynamic routing protocols automatically adapt to changes in network topology and select the best transmission path based on real-time network conditions to maintain stability.
Comprehensive Security Functions
Defend against a range of network threats with MACsec, Secure Boot, RADSEC, IMPB, SFTP, and 802.1X. MACsec works with the 802.1X protocol to ensure secure communication of all traffic on Ethernet links. Secure Boot protects the operating system from malicious attacks.
Highly Available
Two field-replaceable redundant power supplies and VRRP make it an ideal choice for reliable networking architecture. ERPS supports rapid protection and recovery in a ring topology, while BFD enables sub-second failure detection for rapid routing protocol rebalancing. M-LAG improves link reliability from the card level to the device level.
Easy Operation and Maintenance
The switch can be configured and managed based on the NETCONF protocol, reducing manual configuration errors and improving software upgrade efficiency. Configuration Rollback restores previous settings if errors occur. Hot patching technology allows software defects to be fixed without device restart, preventing business interruptions. PTPv2 provides sub-microsecond-level time synchronization precision by leveraging the advantage of hardware timestamping.
Omada Integration
Integration into the Omada system brings centralized cloud management and a series of management features, such as Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and Intelligent Anomaly Detection. Omada and Omada Pro's Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform integrates network devices, including access points, switches, and routers, providing 100% centralized cloud management. Omada and Omada Pro create a highly scalable network-all controlled from a single interface.
