Job Summary:

As the Store Manager of our computer store, you will oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the store while providing excellent customer service. You will manage a team of technicians and sales associates, handle various administrative tasks, and ensure that all aspects of the business run efficiently. This role requires a blend of technical skills, managerial expertise, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervise and support technicians and sales associates. Provide training, guidance, and feedback to ensure high performance. Manage onboarding of new employees and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a high standard of customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Ensure that the team delivers a positive customer experience.
  • Operations Management: Oversee all daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, bank deposits, and facility maintenance. Handle deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure the store is clean and organized.
  • HR Responsibilities: Conduct basic HR tasks such as hiring, scheduling, and managing employee records. Plan and schedule shifts to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels. Order supplies and products as needed, track stock, and perform regular inventory audits.
  • Financial Management: Manage store budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Handle bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers and staff when needed. Ensure that technicians have the resources and support they need to perform repairs efficiently.
  • Decision Making: Make well-rounded decisions to solve problems and improve store operations. Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges and optimize processes.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive store performance. Promote products and services, and plan and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers.
  • Facilities Management: Ensure the store is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Handle facility-related issues and coordinate with external vendors when necessary.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales, and other key metrics to upper management. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a store manager or in a similar managerial role, preferably in a retail or technology environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and managerial skills. Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and basic HR functions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of computer systems, hardware, and software. Ability to provide basic technical support and understand the technical needs of the business.
  • Attributes: Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
